Student Nurses' Association
The Student Nurses’ Association (SNA) at the University of South Carolina Beaufort is a great opportunity for students to become involved in our community and network with fellow students (as well as with those in the community).
The University of South Carolina-Beaufort Student Nurses’ Association was founded by the BSN Class of 2011 during the 2009- 2010 academic school year. Looking for a voice within the school’s nursing program, as well as wanting to create a positive impact within our community, these student-leaders worked with USCB faculty and staff to launch the Student Nurses’ Association. These founders are credited with developing our organization’s by-laws, creating our presence at the national [NSNA], State [SCSNA], and local [Beaufort County] levels and, more importantly, instilling the tradition of philanthropy through action within our organization.
All board members, past and present, joined the SNA as volunteers with the common goal of generating positive change.
The Student Nurses’ Association is always looking to add members to its team. We encourage you to attend one of our upcoming meetings, explore this website, or contact one us directly to learn more about our organization . Membership with the National Student Nurses Association [NSNA] is a requisite. Annual dues include a local SNA at USCB membership for $10 [12 months] and the NSNA membership [12 or 24 months]. Current information regarding NSNA membership fees can obtained by emailing Mrs. Rochelle Armola.
Why join? In addition to the discounts/benefits passed on from the NSNA, joining opens doors to your future. SNA membership provides a chance to become more involved at the local and national levels. Through volunteering, conferences, and lectures you will be exposed to numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth. The 2012-2013 school year holds many exciting prospects, so be sure to keep in touch to learn about upcoming events. For more information about joining the SNA at USCB please complete the SNA APPLICATION or plan on attending one of our upcoming meetings.
