The mission of the 2nd Charles E. Fraser Sustainable Resort Development Conference 2017 is to host a public conversation among community leaders, scientists, managers, and government officials that explores the sustainable future for our Coastal Community.
Building upon the success of the first Charles E. Fraser Sustainable Resort Development Conference in 2013, the University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) and The Sea Pines Resort will host the 2nd Charles E. Fraser Sustainable Resort Development Conference at Sea Pines Resort, September 6-8, 2017. A group of experts, practitioners, and managers will discuss the environmental, social, and economic challenges in the region, the practical solutions they have devised, and the economic benefits for resort businesses and communities. Key-topics for discussion include; Tourism and Environment, Resource Management, Coastal Resilience, Renewable Resources and Quality of Life.
We expect about 150 attendees from South Carolina and other the Southeastern coastal regions, including resort managers and related businesses, developers, government planners, and scientists.
