The School of the Professions is uniquely qualified to help achieve your career aspirations. Our baccalaureate programs are designed with you in mind... small classes with expert faculty who get to know you personally, curricula that is forward thinking and aligned with current standards, and technology to help it all come together. Our students emerge with a greater appreciation for diversity and deep commitment to the regional, national and global community. And we develop students into leaders prepared to enter the workforce with skills essential to promote success.
Every program includes the opportunity for an experiential learning component through internships and clinical practicums, providing real-world opportunities to learn from professionals in the field. That's why our graduates are highly desired by employers. The majority of School of Professions graduates are employed within three months of college graduation.
Exciting things are happening! The Hospitality Management program is moving to a new campus on Hilton Head Island in the fall of 2018, bringing students into the heart of a premier tourist destination. The Nursing program will be offering a new BSN Honors Program at the Beaufort campus, admitting students as Nursing majors in the freshmen year. New secondary education programs have been developed to help meet the demand for teachers in South Carolina. The Health Promotion major offers its program on-campus and through Palmetto College to improve the public's health. And Business is our largest major, drawing students to specializations such as accounting, management and marketing. As we grow, new professional programs are being considered to meet the emerging needs of the region and beyond.
The School of the Professions creates a learning environment that promotes academic success and prepares you for a career... your career... your future. I encourage you to learn more about each of our programs and discover what USCB has to offer.
