Office of the Registrar
The way you conduct business with the University of South Carolina is changing for the better. The University has been working to replace the student information system on which we have relied for over 30 years with a new online information system that better meets the evolving needs of our campus community. The new system is called Self Service Carolina (SSC).
Starting right now you will use my.sc.edu, the online gateway into SSC. From SSC, you’ll use your VIP ID and password to register for classes and manage your financial aid information for Fall 2013. In the following months, you’ll get the chance to do even more, like view and pay your tuition and fees, communicate with your academic advisor, view your academic record, and assess your degree progress.
How do I access SSC?
1. go here. Click on “Self Service Carolina.”
2. click on “Sign In” and enter your VIP ID and password. Can’t remember your VIP ID and/or password? Click on the link under the “How do I sign in?” heading. You’ll be able to set a new password if you need to.
3. once your logon is accepted you are in SSC.
How do I register for Summer and Fall 2013?
Summer and Fall 2013 registration will both begin April 8. Please note that Summer registration will be done in VIP, Fall in SSC; this is clearly indicated on the initial my.sc.edu web page so you can click on the correct link. You can currently see your Summer registration time in VIP and your Fall time in SSC.
Go here for more information on registering in SSC.
Is there an online tutorial for using SSC?
