The University of South Carolina Beaufort is proud to hold the second annual Gateway to Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies Conference this October 9, 2015. This year's conference is dedicated to Dr. Jane T. Upshaw in recognition of her outstanding leadership to the University of South Carolina Beaufort as the very first Chancellor. We are honored to announce the GIGS 2015 Conference Keynote Speaker Dr. Al M. Panu, Chancellor of the University of South Carolina Beaufort.

The Gateway to Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies Conference provides a platform for showcasing the quality graduate education opportunities available to USCB students, across disciplines. This conference puts the high quality of undergraduate research done at USCB in perspective with higher education options available to our hard working students.

USCB invites premier graduate faculty and their graduate students to present their research and their graduate programs to our campus community. The conference consists of graduate faculty presentations, poster presentation from students, which is followed by Q&A sessions rearding graduate programs, scholarships and fellowships from the invited Universities.

Please note that the Registration Fee is waived for the conference. As such, we encourage participants to register by September 30, 2015 to receive badges and welcome packet. Abstracts for poster presentation can be submitted electronically through September 30, 2015, and accepted students will be notified by October 5, 2015.

All minors (persons under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by their legal guardian or parent at all times during the event. Conference organizers assume no responsibility for the minors during the event.
