Services and Accommodations
A range of individualized support services and accommodations is available to students with documented disabilities who are registered with Disability Services. The accommodations are based on the nature and extent of each student's disability. Accommodations and services are determined through confidential interviews with a counselor in Disability Services. Some of the services and accommodations include:
- Communication and instruction strategies helpful for the specific disability
- Academic Accommodations
- Housing Accommodations
- Testing Accommodations
- Counseling Support
Students with documented disabilities may request that adaptive equipment be placed
the classroom as a reasonable accommodation. When the room itself is not accessible to a student, the course may be moved to an accessible location. Students needing these accommodations should register during the official registration period and notify Disability Services of any necessary accommodations at least 30 working days prior to the first day
of class. This will ensure that Disability Services has ample time to honor the request and notify other students and faculty affected by the change.
