I started my academic career at a four-year state college in West Virginia, in 2007. Until 2015, I taught various upper-level undergraduate courses in Economics. My journey at the USCB started in 2015 where my teaching consists of two main courses: Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. My research agenda includes three major areas: Economics of Higher Education, Environmental Economics, and Health Economics. In addition to the above, I also conducted regional economic impact and public policy studies during the early years of my career. Since 2015, I have published 9 articles in various refereed journals. In 2018 and 2020, I was awarded Sea Islands Institute grants, which both led to numerous published papers. I love kayak fishing, exercising, and roasting my own coffee.
