Instructor of Mathematics
My name is Timothy Hogenboom. I have been Senior Instructor/Instructor of Statistics and Mathematics at USCB since 2011.
I earned a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Mathematics and Secondary Education, Honors Program, Roberts Wesleyan College, Rochester, New York, 1991. I earned a Master of Arts in Mathematical Sciences at State University of New York at Binghamton in 1997. My area of concentration was Statistics.
I have served in the following committees: Math Course Redesign Committee, Teacher Education Advisory Council, Mathematics Teacher Education Committee, Education Department Conceptual Framework Committee, Interview Committee for the Director of E-Learning Position, USCB Family Fund film cast. I also served as an Adjunct Faculty member at USCB from 2008-2010.
My previous teaching experience includes teaching various courses in mathematics, statistics, physics, and computer programming at Armstrong Atlantic State University, Savannah Country Day School, Porter-Gaud School, and Sherman Central School.
My current role at USCB as Senior Instructor involves teaching mostly introductory statistics courses. I enjoy it because I love the way statistics relates to so many things in everyday life.
