Daphne Poore, EdD
Instructor, Education
One University Boulevard
Bluffton, SC 29909
Over the last 25 years, I have had many experiences that have led me to being an instructor for the University of South Carolina Beaufort’s Education Department. I began my career as an early childhood teacher in K4/K5 then 2nd and 4th grades. During my time in the public schools, I was fortunate to mentor student teachers, which led me to begin teaching in higher education. I began my journey in higher education at Newberry College, where I taught numerous undergraduate courses while concurrently serving as the assistant chair of the department. My research efforts are in the areas of technology integration and proper assessment in the classroom. I have presented at many conferences and have conducted professional development for teachers across the state.
