Summer Roberts, PhD
Program Coordinator & Assistant Professor, Sociology
I am an Associate Professor and the Program Coordinator for Sociology in the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities. I also serve as the Gerontology Certificate Coordinator, direct USCB’s Quality Enhancement Program, Students Connected: Fieldwork for the Future, and oversee Graduation with Leadership Distinction in Community Engagement (GLDCE). I earned a B.S. in Public Policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology and both my M.S. and Ph.D. in Sociology from Florida State University. Many of the courses I teach includes an experiential component, as I love seeing students put what they are learning in the classroom to use for addressing community issues.
