Associate Professor, Nursing
I am an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Nursing and Health Professions. I have taught in nursing programs for over 20 years in clinical, adjunct, and full-time roles. In addition, I am a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner volunteering my time at Volunteers in Medicine on Hilton Head Island. Professional recognitions include being a Cockcroft Leadership Fellow from the University of South Carolina and being recognized as Professor of the year in 2020 at USCB. I am active in the SC Nurses Association and SC Faith Community Nurses Association, holding elected and appointed positions in both organizations. I teach a variety of courses at USCB including Health Assessment, Pharmacology, and Spirituality related to health. I have presented at both the state and national levels and have numerous scholarly publications.
