USCB Research Biologists Receive new Grant Award from Bluffton and Beaufort County

A team of researchers at USCB has been awarded a grant from the Town of Bluffton and
Beaufort County to study water quality and climate change endpoints in the May River.
The study is entitled, “Historical Analysis of Water Quality and Climate Change Endpoints
and Monitoring of Natural Resources in the May River—A Pilot Study for Other Watersheds
in Beaufort County.” The work will be performed by researchers working in the Marine
Sensory and Neurobiology Lab at USCB and the USCB Water Quality Lab. The university
team taking part in the study consists of Eric Montie, M.S., Ph.D., director of the
Marine Sensory and Neurobiology Lab, and Alan Warren, M.P.H., Ph.D., director of the
Water Quality Lab.
