How do you Introduce a University Mascot? Publication features USCB
Faculty News, USCB in the Media
Lynn McGee, Ph.D., USCB Department of Business Administration, responded to a reader question in a marketing blog hosted by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education—and a USCB success story was selected for publication in the CASE Currents Magazine (Nov/Dec 18). The article, “Proud to Introduce,” described the ceremonial flourish with which the Sand Shark mascot was announced 10 years ago: a huge Sand Shark banner was unfurled—dramatically—from the roof of the Hargray Building by the chancellor and athletic director, the first athletes ceremonially donned the first USCB Sand Shark logo gear, “Mack the Knife” played and the after party began. Sand Shark Athletics has come a long way in the past decade.
