I am a Professor of Psychology and serve as the Program Coordinator for Psychology here at USCB. Since receiving my PhD in psychology from Brandeis University I have taught at universities in the U.S.A., Canada, Japan, and Cambodia. I was named a Carnegie Scholar by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching in 2004, and continue to explore my interest in best practices for teaching in online, hybrid, traditional and hyflex classes. I have received two Fulbright Scholar awards to do research and teach in Cambodia (2004 and 2006) and continue to consult with the Psychology Department at the Royal University of Phnom Penh in Cambodia. Recently I have also taught at Vietnam National University in Hanoi in their first PhD program in Clinical Psychology. At USCB I teach a variety of psychology courses, and especially enjoy teaching Introduction to Psychology, Biological Psychology, Learning & Memory, Cultural Psychology and Psychology of Aging while investigating new ways to motivate my students for classroom success.
