About Us at CHSE
The USCB Center for Human Services Evaluation (CHSE) expands resources in the Lowcountry
region and beyond through demonstrated capacity to design, plan, and implement comprehensive
program evaluations (USCB, 2023). USCB has the only Human Services baccalaureate program
in South Carolina accredited by the Council for Standards in Human Services Education
(CSHSE). We use our unique position to leverage the talents of students and faculty
with interest and expertise in program evaluation to answer the question, “is this
working?”.
The CHSE is committed to serving as evaluators for process, interim and outcome evaluations. We anticipate participating in and supporting the evaluation efforts of the region and beyond in following way(s):
- In cooperation with the principal investigators, design the evaluation methodologies.
- Design the systems to report out performance metrics.
- Develop evaluation goals, questions, and metrics.
- Direct evaluation data collection and monitor evaluation process.
- Prepare evaluation reports and performance dashboards for dissemination of evaluation findings.
This Center is self-funded and sustained without the use of the South Carolina tax dollars.
