Campus Computer Rooms

Campus computer labs are available to current USCB students, faculty and staff for general use. Please see the list below for lab locations and information.

Some things to remember when using campus computer rooms:

• Be sure to save any files created on campus computers to your own external storage device such as a USB Flash/Thumb drive (*** Remember that for as long as you are a student at USCB all your work can be saved online with your free Microsoft Office 365 subscription. Office 365 includes unlimited storage space on Microsoft's OneDrive).
• Make sure that you save your work frequently as campus computers will shut down and log you off if you don’t use it for ten minutes.
• A personal set of headphones is also useful, or you can borrow one in the library.
• Labs may be closed during university holidays and semester breaks.

Using your own computer on campus:

• All buildings on both the Beaufort Campus and the Bluffton campus have wireless access.
• If you have your own computer and it has wireless capabilities it should automatically connect to our wireless network if you are on campus (no configuration necessary). The wireless network name is “USCB Public”.
• Please note that you MUST have Anti-Virus protection with updated definitions on your personal computer in order to access our network in Housing. (This applies to PC users and Windows Operating Systems only).

Bluffton campus:

• Library Main Floor
  - 35 MS Windows PCs. (8 Public Patron use computers - Do not require login).
• SciTech 231
  - 26 MS Windows PCs.

  - 32 MS Windows PCs.
• Hargray 162
  - 17 MS Windows PCs with additional machines. This is a computational science lab with a mixture of Custom Gaming, Mac, Windows, and Linux based machines.

Beaufort campus:

• VAD 200
  - 20 Macs.
• Sandstone Building - Mac Lab
  - 19 MS Windows PCs. | 15 Macs.
• Sandstone Library
  - 12 MS Windows PCs. | 1 Mac. (4 Public Patron use computers - Do not requre login).

Software:

Apple iMacs:

• Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
• Microsoft Office Suite for Mac (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Designated computers have class-specific software.

MS Windows PCs:

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Designated computers have class-specific software.
