Guided Kayak Nature Tour

Join Sand Shark Adventures and Outside Hilton Head for a guided tour to explore the
unique beauty of Palmetto Bluff. Paddle through calm waters and take in the breathtaking
scenery of Palmetto Bluff's salt marshes, tidal creeks, and rivers. Outside Hilton
Head's experienced guides will lead you on a journey of discovery as you encounter
local wildlife such as dolphins, ospreys, egrets, herons, and more. You'll learn about
the fascinating history and ecology of the area while enjoying a peaceful and relaxing
outdoor adventure. Transportation, instruction, all necessary equipment, and personal
flotation devices are included in the cost.
Horseback Riding - Trail Ride
Date: August 29, 2024
Time: Pickup at 3:30 PM in front of Rec Center | Trail Ride: 5:00 - 6:00 PM
Location: Lawton Stables - Sea Pines; Hilton Head

A one-hour guided trail ride through the Sea Pines Forest Preserve. You will experience
a true feel of the untouched lowcountry on horseback, beneath a canopy of Palmettos
and moss covered oaks. The guide will keep an eye on the gentle horses as they give
insight into Island culture and wildlife. The pace of the ride is kept at a walk so
that riders of all abilities can settle in comfortably and take in the beautiful surroundings.
Coligny Beach Cleanup & Beach Day
Date: September 13, 2024
Time: Pickup at 1 PM in front of Rec Center | 2-6PM
Location: Coligny Beach, Hilton Head

Join Student Life and Campus Rec in cleaning the beautiful beaches of Hilton Head.
Coligny Beach is the most popular beach on the island, seeing thousands of tourists each
year. Coligny is also hope to several species of coastal wildlife. In order to keep the beach clean
for wildlife, we are offering a free trip to cleanup the beach and waterways. Upon
completing the beach cleanup, you will be given free time to explore Coligny Beach Park and the surrounding shops. All cleaning supplies will be provided. Please
make sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses/hat, and appropriate beach wear. Help us
make a difference and keep our ocean and beaches clean.
Transportation: Transportation will be provided to the first 14 students that register and request
transportation; however, the service trip is open to all students who want to give
back.
Fishing & Boating with Captain Zach
Date: September 15, 2024
Time: Boat leaves at 7AM from Beaufort location
Location: Beaufort, SC
Cost: Free

There will be no transportation provided by the university for this trip.
Zach Markow, a USCB student and owner of Southern Style Charters, will be leading this boating and fishing excursion. Whether you're an experienced angler or new to fishing, Capt. Zach Markow will ensure a memorable fishing experience here in the Lowcountry. During this charter, you will most likely be targeting redfish and sharks. With a maximum of 6 participants, you can join 5 other students and travel down the Broad River. The trip will meet at 7am around the Beaufort area. The exact location will be determined 2 days before the trip and is dependent upon the wind and weather for that day. SCarowinds

Time: Pickup at 9am on Saturday; return at 2pm on Sunday
Location: Carowinds | Charlotte, NC

Carowinds boasts 60 world-class rides and yearlong entertainment. In October, the theme park transforms into a frightful realm filled with terrifying haunted mazes, scare zones, and live entertainment at every turn. For the first time in years, Sand Shark Adventures is offering a trip to SCarowinds for 14 students. The trip will leave Saturday morning, so students can enjoy all the nightly entertainment Saturday evening. Upon the park closing, students will stay at a local hotel and be driven back to campus Sunday morning. This trip includes travel, tickets to the park, and the hotel. Food will be at your own expense.
Ghost Pirates Hockey Game
Date: Friday, November 8
Time: Pickup at 5:45 PM in front of Rec Center | Game time: 7:30 PM
Location: Enmarket Arena | Savannah, GA
Cost: $15
THE HAUNT CONTINUES with the Savannah Ghost Pirates. Mark your calendars for Friday,
November 8 and join the USCB community for an awesome evening of hockey at Enmarket
Arena. The Ghost Pirates will be taking on Idaho in a out-of-division game. Transportation
is available to the first 14 students that sign up.
Alcohol Policy
By purchasing this ticket, you are participating in a university sanctioned event,
and alcohol is prohibited.
Refund Policy
All purchases are final. There will be no refunds given after purchase.
Transportation Policy
If you are providing your own transportation, you will be responsible for all parking
fees.
