Snow Tubing in North Carolina

Time: Van leaves at 2pm on Friday and returns on Saturday at 7pm

Join Sand Shark Adventures on a trip up to Hendersonville, North Carolina to go snow-tubing at Black Bear Snow Tubing. The trip will leave Friday afternoon since the snow tubing location is roughly 4.5 hours away. Students will stay at a local hotel Friday night and go snow tubing Saturday in the early afternoon. After snow-tubing, students will be driven to a local park for hiking and some scenic views. The park chosen depends on the availability due to previous weather conditions. This trip includes travel, tickets to snow tubing, a hiking/scenic adventure, and the hotel. Food will be at your own expense.
Galactic Bowling
Date: February 7
Time: Pickup at 7:30pm in the back of the Campus Center | Bowl 8-10pm
Location: Bluffton, SC | Station 300

Come and enjoy two hours of neon night bowling with music at Station 300. Shoes are
included but bowlers will need to bring their own socks. Station 300 is a local bowling
alley with an arcade and restaurant. This adventure is open to the first 25 students
who sign up. However, the shuttle will only be provided to the first 13 students who
request transportation.
Sunset Kayak Tour
Date: March 21
Time: Pickup 4:45pm in the back of the Campus Center | Paddle 5:30-7:30pm

Join Sand Shark Adventures and Outside Hilton Head for a sunset guided tour to explore the unique beauty of Palmetto Bluff. Paddle through calm waters and take in the breathtaking scenery of Palmetto Bluff's salt marshes, tidal creeks, and rivers. Outside Hilton Head's experienced guides will lead you on a journey of discovery as you encounter local wildlife such as dolphins, ospreys, egrets, herons, and more. You'll learn about the fascinating history and ecology of the area while enjoying a peaceful and relaxing outdoor adventure. Transportation, instruction, all necessary equipment, and personal flotation devices are included in the cost.
Standup Paddleboarding

Ever wanted to try SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding)? This is your chance! Sand Shark Adventures will be heading over to the May River for a stand up paddleboarding lesson by Stand and Paddle through Fusion Fit. This lesson suits every skill level from beginner to intermediate. So grab your bathing suit, a towel, water bottle, and sign up for this exciting water sport and adventure! Transportation, instruction, and equipment are included in the cost
Hunting Island Beach and Nature Trails

This Sand Shark Adventure to Hunting Island Beach and Nature Trails offers students an immersive experience in one of South Carolina’s most beautiful coastal destinations. Known for its pristine beaches, diverse wildlife, and scenic trails, this trip provides a perfect blend of outdoor adventure and relaxation. Students will have time to swim, sunbathe, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Atlantic coastline. For those interested in adventure, there’s the opportunity to explore the winding nature trails and keep an eye out for South Carolina's native plants, wildlife, and marine life. Whether you're looking for an active day of hiking or a calm beach retreat, this trip offers something for everyone, creating lasting memories and fostering an appreciation for the outdoors.
What You Need to Know:
Alcohol is prohibited on all trips.
No-show participants will not be eligible for a refund.
Basic health history form will be required for trip participants.
If you are providing your own transportation, you will be responsible for all parking
fees.
Trips are filled based on registration and payment basis; spots will not be held.
Trips are a student-first activity. If faculty/staff are interested in joining an
adventure trip, please email Sam Haering to be placed on the faculty/staff waitlist.
If spots remain available after the deadline, we will contact individuals on the waitlist.
Refunds:
You must cancel at least 7 days prior to the trip to get a refund. A full refund will
be given if the trip is canceled due to low registration, weather, or other extenuating
circumstances. If you register for the trip inside the 7-day refund window, you will
not be given a refund.
