OLLI Community Band at USCB
A place where musicians of all abilities can come together to play because of a common
interest in music.
Our Mission
The USCB OLLI Community Band is part of the University of South Carolina Beaufort's
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). The mission of OLLI is to provide quality,
intellectually stimulating not-for-credit educational opportunities and experiences
specifically developed for adults of the Lowcountry. Any adult who is interested in
lifelong learning is welcome to join. There are no academic requirements. Backgrounds
may differ, but all participants share a desire to keep intellectually active. OLLI
Band members may be of any age to participate.
The purpose of the OCB is to contribute positively to the musical environment of the
Lowcountry while providing an opportunity for education, growth, and individual musical
expression among its members. The OCB intends to provide an opportunity for musicians
of all ages to play together for enjoyment and to perform for the community.
