“Thanks to the mentorship of my professors at USCB, in my junior year I was awarded
a competitive national scholarship from the National Hispanic Health Foundation. Only
one nursing student in the country receives this each year, and I couldn’t believe
it when they said I won. USCB Nursing students and faculty really support each other
and I’ll always be grateful for the opportunities I’ve had here.”
